Once again, we at Viking Advisory Group have the extreme privilege to honor one of our business partners. Dr. Melissa Parsons-Doherty DVM, DACVIM (Oncology) is the founder and owner of Pearland Animal Cancer and Referral Center. Dr. Parsons-Doherty has devoted her life to the treatment of animals stricken with cancer. Upon the opening of the practice in 2019, she was determined to not allow financial circumstances prevent animals from receiving treatment that was desperately needed. This desire led to the formation of A Better Life Animal Cancer Fund, a 501 (c) (3) charity. Per the website abetterlifetx.org the “(f)und is a unique nonprofit organization providing financial assistance for compassionate care, diagnosis and treatment of animals impacted by cancer. Proceeds help need-based client owned companions, with an emphasis on public service animals, that otherwise would not have access to Oncology services.”
We are proud of Dr. Parsons-Doherty for her dedication to help these animals and the families that love them. We are also proud of partnering with Melissa and her team at PACRC since its inception in 2019. With our sights on the future, Viking and PACRC worked together to establish policies and procedures to ensure that PACRC was positioned to operate efficiently. The success of PACRC has encouraged Dr. Parsons-Doherty to open a second office in the Houston area.
